Description:
Position Overview: Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Parts Associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities: Daily Functions: - Pick and pack small parts in warehouse setting to fulfill parts orders according to standards and expectations
- Verify shipping information and part quantities for accuracy before shipping
- Process part shipments on small package shipping system
- Put parts into inventory accurately, timely and in an efficient manner that promotes efficient picking practices
- Place purchase orders
- Purchase and monitor parts for rework projects
- Label and verify each inbound and outbound shipment and check all items for accuracy
- Notify supervisor when discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made
- Accurately receive product and count all items unloaded and verify with packing list in a timely manner
- Unload, deliver and put away all parts and finished goods according to work instructions, including non-saleable
.Requirements:
Qualifications Education: - High School diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in related field preferred
Experience: - Previous experience in small parts picking, packing, shipping and receiving
- Ability to effectively operate all equipment and computer programs associated with the parts warehouse
- Obtained fork lift operator certification
Other Requirements: - Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally and 70+ lbs as a team lift or with material handling equipment
- Proficient computer skills required in MS Office products and Johnson operating system programs
- Ability to accurately count, reconcile and maintain/manage stock levels and resolve inventory issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills; attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Capable of proficiently: picking, packing and shipping small packages; conducting and reconciling cycle counts and bin analysis; accurately receiving inventory; produce kits; operate and trouble shoot small package shipping systems
Skills: - Gain knowledge of inventory system, product acceptance criteria and product quality checklists
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes; and assisting others when necessary
