Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Accountant/Financial Analyst's responsibilities include partnering with IT, Product teams, Sales and Operational partners to improve business insights by accounting for operational activities while supporting the accumulation and analysis of data for management as it relates to business decisions. This is a non-supervisory position.
Responsibilities Accounting: - Accounting Support of Concur Invoicing and T&E System as assigned
- Preparation of monthly journal entries and reclassifications as needed
- Reconciliation and maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts
- Support and/or assist with Extended Warranty Program Analysis and Facilitation
- Preventative Maintenance Agreement Analysis and Facilitation
- Used Equipment Process review and analysis
Reporting: - Support Commercial Dashboard reporting preparation
- Support JHTNAM reporting requests
- Support Inventory reporting and reconciliations
- Support operational reporting and analysis needs of department managers
- Maintain and create reports as needed
- Support quarterly reviews and annual financial audit as assigned
- Support Sales Reporting requirements for actual results and projections as assigned
- Support Adaptive Planning reporting module as assigned
- Support Customer and Product based margin analysis as assigned
- Support and/or assist with Cost of Quality Reporting data gathering, analysis and calculation in detail
Operations: - Provides recommendations to improve business and financial performance
- Active team member on business improvement projects
- Develop procedures to improve financial practices
- Provide on-going support for business' financial analysis needs
- Other projects as needed
.Requirements:Qualifications Education: - Minimum 4-year degree in Accounting
- Additional education, such as MBA or CPA, a plus
Experience: - Minimum 2 years in progressively responsible experience in Accounting
Other Requirements: - Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
- Accountable for specific performance
- Exceptional attention to detail, meeting deadlines and providing a high-level of customer service
- Confidential, understands the ethical standards of accounting
- Strong system skills experience with SAP, BW, Microsoft CRM, and Adaptive Insights preferred
- Clear problem solving and investigative skills support a lean environment, Six Sigma Certification, a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PowerPivot, pivot tables, Vlookup, VBA, Macros, etc.)
Skills Computer Skills: - SAP, BW, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adaptive Insights, Microsoft CRM, Concur or other systems as necessary
Communication: - Develop relationships throughout organization
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Clearly communicate analysis and recommendations
- Confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations
