Position Overview

The focus of this position is to provide accounting support for the Johnson Fitness & Wellness retail stores, and JHT Trading, Inc. channels Specialty, Retail Parts Sales, IPO and Wellness. This is a non-supervisory position.

Responsibilities

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support Financial Reporting requirements for actual results and projections
• Assist with developing the annual budget and operating plan

Accounting Duties MAY include:

• Development and entry of monthly journal entries, accruals and reclassifications
• Reconciliation and maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts
• Assisting with quarterly reviews and year end audit
• Developing and implementing procedures and policies to improve financial practices
• Monthly commission calculation
• Preparing and recording bi-weekly payroll journal entries
• Ensuring employee benefit costs are properly recorded in the financial statements

Other duties

• Monthly reporting and analysis of financial results of assigned corporate division to operational team leaders
• Assistance in compiling information for annual corporate income tax filings

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Additional education, such as MBA or CPA, a plus

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in prior accounting or related experience
• Experience in multi-state sales tax is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, able to clearly communication financial information in easy to understand manner at multiple levels and functions within the business
• Strong system skills experience with SAP (FI, MM & SD modules), Microsoft CRM and Adaptive preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Clear problem solving and investigative skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong understanding of management accounting

• SAP, BW, Adaptive Insights, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, Iridium or other POS system
