Job Description: Maintain efficient operations of EH Filler, including operation of filler, wash cycle, and tie ins to silos. Responsibility and Duties: Maintain continuous operation of the EH Filler including: loading of paper cartons and juices (including the changing of silos). Obtains cartons, caps, and other necessary materials to perform work and properly utilizes the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to reflect material usage. Perform the CIP, and wash cycles for machines including: silo CIP, filler CIP and pressure wash areas. Monitor quantities to production schedule so that the correct quantities are run, do necessary efficiency paperwork, and do monitor weights of filled cartons as well as dye checking for leaks. Complete all associated production paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner. Monitor product to ensure compliance with product specifications. Monitor product specifications to ensure correct codes are being utilized. Adjust machinery as necessary for optimal production. Comply with all Company policies, procedures and safety rules and maintain a clean and well organized work area. Ensure that routine quality checks are performed on product to verify product brix, codes and carton types. Performs all necessary quality checks and testing as determined by the Quality Department or management Monitors job tasks to ensure food safety and quality and promptly reports any concerns or issues to supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Department Perform routine operator maintenance and machine checks as indicated under standard operating procedures. Monitor production to ensure maximum efficiency. Accurately record production, machine efficiency and machine down time to assure that the production schedule is met. Any additional plant related responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Follows instructions and responds to management or lead direction. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, trends. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be capable of using hand held Warehouse Management System scanning devices. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however the employee may be required to enter production areas where the noise level is usually loud and hearing protection is required.
