Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up dispensers prior to production and immediately notifies Maintenance when deficiencies appear. Monitors Applicator settings and ensures that product has the proper appearance and weight. Ensures that the final product has the right quality attributes. Recommends changes to the Lead or the Supervisor. Ensures that all necessary equipment is ready and available for any change over or start-up a day in advance. Reports any deviancies from product specifications immediately to the Lead or the Supervisor. Cleans and stores equipment after use. Accurately completes all respective paperwork. Assists in breaks and lunches. Maintains area so that it is free of any debris and rework. Abides by Nation Pizza Products SOPs. Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. Verifies part codes of the ingredients with the BOM and checks the condition of the ingredients and their containers prior to using. Reports any quality problems to your supervisor and line lead. Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes. Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement. Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices). Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place. Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Education, Skills and Experience: Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Skills and Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts. Ability to speak, write and understand English. Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals. Ability to write standard information into related paperwork. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including but not limited to pounds, ounces, grams, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and temperatures. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
Organizational Structure: The Topping Production Cheese/Mix Operator will report directly to the Topping Production Supervisor. Compensation Average annual salary: $35,000 - $45,000/year which includes: Hourly pay of $16.30-$17.55/hour, based on experience Overtime after 40 hours per week; average work week 40-50 hours per week Opportunities for advancement positions paying $50K-$60K/year Benefits Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life) - 1st of the month following 60 days PTO - 8 Personal after 60 days and begin earning additional PTO after 180 days of employment - 401K Saving and Retirement Plan
