HOURS:

Day shift, 4-10 hour shifts per week, days will vary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an experienced OR nurse to provide quality patient care. In this role, responsibilities include:

Circulating for surgical procedures
Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room
Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure
Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure
Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure
Acting as the patients advocate during his/her stay in the operating room
Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies


EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Current RN license in the state of Virginia, Prefer BSN
1-2 years of operating room nursing experience preferred, scrubbing experience a plus
CPR Certification required, ACLS within 6 months of hire
