CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY: Responsible for identifying, attracting, and acquiring new business by researching, prospecting & qualifying leads. Utilize creative and aggressive marketing strategies in driving market share and revenue growth within assigned territory or region. Required to bring new accounts and maintain revenue goals. Reviews various sales reports daily to identify potential leads, schedules follow up based on customer needs. Focus efforts weekly on effective prospecting and sales methodologies (cold calling, customer visits, telemarketing, referrals, and associations). Work closely with key departments on pricing, billing, service scorecards, and additional lane opportunities. Keeps management informed by maintaining and submitting activity and results reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses) as required by company's policies and procedures. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing memos/reports, and making recommendations to management. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks with other technical people and vendors and participating in professional societies. Protects operation of company by keeping financial, production, sales and marketing information and plans confidential. Maintain a professional presence and demeanor that is reflective of a corporate image. Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner. Ability to work on a McLeod Software while performing the essential functions of this position. Uses, carries and answers their cell phone using Ring Central for business purposes as determined by the assigned job duties and the department head Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two years of comprehensive logistics experience Previous sales experience preferred Any combination of relevant education, training or experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job will be considered. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Exceptional written and verbal communication Negotiation, time management, and conflict resolution skills are mandatory Travel will be required and could be as much as 50%. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
