Overview
ROLE OVERVIEW: Perform complex data analysis using Excel, Minitab, or other suitable application for characterization of new and existing products. Provide summary data for regulatory agencies. Support new product R&D efforts and implementation. Investigate and facilitate correct actions for chronic product issues. Conduct process capability studies and provide statistical process predictions. Focus on product quality, productivity, and scrap initiatives. Conduct process audits and inspections to support production operations. Conduct Materials Lab testing and complete trials on complex polymer projects. Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION:Perform production product audits to support manufacturing operations. Perform process capability studies and provide statistical analysis for process improvement. Control and update Quality Plan and Work Instruction documents to ensure they are current. Implement gauging methods. Identify areas for product and process improvement and reduction of variation through ANOVA. Perform lab testing on polymers as necessary for tensile, flex, Izod, DSC, FTIR, Ash, etc., and write summary analytical reports. Perform Gage R&R studies to validate metrology methods. Lead and participate in product and process improvement projects. QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent related experience Mathematics and statistical analysis knowledge and experience Minimum two years working experience, preferably one in Quality Certified Quality Technician (CQT) through ASQ preferred Working knowledge of continuous improvement problem solving methods/techniques Plastics experience desirable Computer literate (email, spreadsheet, databases, word processing, statistical software) Statistical analysis skills with Excel and overall analytical skills Effective communication skills (oral and written) and good Interpersonal skills
