POSITION DESCRIPTION: Creation/production of multimedia content, with an emphasis on visual media. This position requires experience with broadcast- style short film production to include: creation of story boards, conducting interviews, content development/production (filming, editing, audio mixing, etc.) through delivery of final products. Videos will be created to augment project or event documentation, and to aid in employee training. Creation and editing of video/photographs/graphics requires a high degree of independent judgement and in-depth expertise with video editing and graphic design software programs such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Photoshop. Other tasks include: Technical writing and editing; Web page and Web content development and management; Design of informational or technical posters and/or electronic displays; Develop graphics and video for presentations and reports ; Convert and reproduce multimedia materials (videos, photographs, print media, etc.) ; Create and edit contract specific forms and SOPs; Shepherd material through the Operations Security (OPSEC) process; Lead the planning, organization, and execution of multimedia projects to include video, audio, still photography, and graphic development; setup lighting, cameras and microphones, etc. ; Assist with marketing and recruiting events; Assist personnel with task estimates for multimedia project deliverables ; Assist personnel with determining resources to create and distribute the desired content ; Train/mentor other employees on video editing and other multimedia skills; Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism or a comparable field from an accredited institution. Two years of full-time professional experience with digital video production may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Must be able to demonstrate current expertise with video creation, editing and production (current toolset includes Final Cut Pro X and Apple Motion). Must have a working knowledge of current graphics, photo editing, and desktop publishing applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher. Must be experienced with Microsoft Office products. Must be experienced with operation of digital video and still photography cameras. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency with technical writing, editing, and production in the Government contracting environment. Professional experience with graphic design and desktop publishing tools; i.e. Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher. Professional experience with Web design and Web page management. Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Test and Evaluation programs and mission support activities.
