GreenState, a progressive, exciting, growing firm is now hiring for the position of Licensed Insurance Agent. We are looking for someone who is a stimulating influence on nearly everyone they meet and who is an aggressive closer. The Licensed Insurance Agent serves as the service link between the insurance agency client and the carriers represented by the agency. The agent provides current clients and prospects with quality service in support of sales activities and assists in the production and retention of new accounts and existing accounts. Responsibilities
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision. Seeks referrals/sales from current Membership base and Personal referrals to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and automation system. Proactively calls all scheduled closing in MLO's Pipeline to ensure 100% contact rate Quotes/Markets new business/prospects as requested via walk-in, referral, inbound, outbound, cross sale, cold call, phone, and internet quote requests from website. Responds to referral/quote requests from GreenState employees and GreenState members to quote or market if enough information is provided and contacts client via form letter. Processes and reviews auto and homeowners insurance policy applications to ensure accuracy and verify applicant eligibility. Reviews renewals to determine if non-standard policies can be rewritten in a standard program. Prepares rewrite applications for business at least 30 days prior to renewal. Secures and submits required renewal underwriting information. Attends one community event per quarter to market GreenState Insurance. Reviews existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal. Solicits increases in limits and/or coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contact. Meets minimum sales expectations for any and all products and services. Answers clients' questions related to their coverage or policy status. Documents all material conversation with insured and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverage. Receives phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies. Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements, and collect premium when applicable. Assists with record keeping of sales activities and results. Attends service and/or sales meetings as needed. Works on individual or corporate projects that may be assigned by management occasionally. Seeks referrals/sales from current Membership base and Personal referrals to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and automation system. Proactively calls all scheduled closing in MLO Pipelines to ensure a touch point by phone. Quotes/Markets new business/prospects via walk-in, referral, inbound, outbound, cross sale, cold call, phone, and internet quote requests from website. Solicits increases in limits and/or coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients. Meets minimum sales expectations for any and all products and services outlines in the incentive program Receives phone calls, handles office visitors requesting quotes
Qualifications
- Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
- Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency and company personnel to minimize potential for errors & omissions claims.
- Self-directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision, and ability to follow directions.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through industry-sponsored educational programs
- Must be able to work in a high-pressured, fast paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption.
- Must possess or obtain Personal Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses
- Must work towards obtaining Life license within 6 months from date of hire
- Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and proficiency in various software programs.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize large, detailed project requirements and schedules. Good time management skills required to manage and complete multiple assignments at the same time.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED)
- Must be bondable.
