The Personal Training Coach is responsible for the safe and effective execution of individual and small-group fitness training sessions, in accordance with programming, techniques, standards and expectations established by City Fitness. With the appropriate cardiovascular, flexibility, and resistance training, the PTC is responsible for helping individuals safely and efficiently reach their desired health and fitness goals. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Continual standing, walking/ frequent bending, reaching and occasional kneeling
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be physically fit enough to spot clients and correctly perform any exercise or movement included in the program.
- Requires full manual dexterity of the upper extremities including hands, arms and shoulders and unrestricted movement of both lower extremities, back and hips.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which requires a minimum of 35 scheduled hours per workweek. Coaches must abide by the assigned schedule as established at time of hire. Coaches will be held accountable to the availability scheduled in the reporting software. Any variance in the schedule must be approved prior by the Personal Training Manager. Travel This positions requires a minimum amount of travel. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: This position requires the acquisition of additional internal certification(s) as a condition of hire. Coaches are also required to maintain a valid Nationally recognized certification(s) for the duration of employment.
