ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are accepting applications for an Accounting and Budget Manager to join the Match network support team. The Accounting and Budget manager will help manage the accounting, budget and financial functions under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role works closely with campus, central office operations teams, school leaders, consultants, vendors and our auditors to ensure the smooth operations of the finance function at Match. The position is based at the Match Network Support office, located on our middle school campus at 215 Forest Hills Street in Jamaica Plain, but will also require occasional work at our other school locations in Brighton and Hyde Park.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting Oversight of accounts payable and receivable, monthly close and annual audit. Financial Reporting & Budgeting Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports to the School community. Prepare or update ad-hoc financial reports, including financial modeling and grant reports. Lead annual budget preparation. Be a resource to the school community in their understanding of accounting and budget information as well as Match financial systems. Payroll Liaison to outsourced payroll provider for accurate and timely biweekly payroll processing. Audit Coordinate audit process and preparation of Form 990 and Form PC with our audit firm. Compliance and Government Contracts Manage entitlement grant required applications, tracking and reporting. Supervision and Training Assist CFO in supervising and training of business office staff. Be a valued resource to help the school community with their understanding of financial information and systems. Other Perform other related duties as requested. Contribute to and manage special projects as they arise.

Qualifications: A bachelors degree; Deep belief inMatchs mission and core values; Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; 3-5 years experience with an understanding of financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles; Experience with accounting systems; QuickBooks a plus; adept at learning new systems. Google platform helpful. Interested in improving systems with a curiosity to find better ways of doing things; Strong analytical thinker and problem solver; Exceptional time management skills and self-direction. Can multi-task and meet deadlines; Highly organized, responsive with exceptional attention to detail; Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to communicate clearly with a friendly tone; Professional, punctual, dependable, reliable, conscientious with a desire to learn; sense of humor a plus.
