Overview
Responsible for providing advanced technical advice, counsel and expertise in direct support of securing sales of networked printing devices as well as associated software/servers and professional and consulting services. Provide technical support in sales presentations, customer trainings, and the delivery of professional services.
Responsibilities
Assist the sales team with the evaluation of prospective customers, account strategy, and possible enterprise printing applications solutions; and then participate in sales calls. Assist in the installation and integration of products and product applications. Responsible for generating professional services revenue streams, independent of equipment and software sales, conducting customer training classes, and providing installation and integration direction of advanced Color Solutions. Accountable for increasing Software Solutions and Professional Services business revenue and margins growth within assignment Interface with Sales representatives as a technical advisor during the sales cycle of software workflow solutions through professional services. Active participation in the sales cycle to determine appropriate software and professional services based on customer requirements. Partner with each sales manager within the respective assignment to develop an active plan for achieving Software Solutions and Professional Services revenue targets. Interface with customers, sponsors and all other stakeholders in order to determine their evolving needs through professional services. Conduct on site visits to customers. Meet with IT, and act as a Technical Advisor. Assist with RFP responsesand provide on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse and challenging solution architecting and implementation Assist with the preparation of sales proposals. Ensure configurations are complete and accurate. Generate the highest level of system requirements, based on the customer's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule. Ensure requirements are consistent, complete, correct and operationally defined. Develop project deliverables and assessment for the professional services engagement. Develop a Statement of Work (SOW) that will outline the customer requirements responsibilities, and Canon Solutions America deliverables. When necessary, develop a Proof of Concept (POC) to be delivered to the end customer for their review and approval. Train customers on all products, through the use of Professional services, not covered by Product Training. Responsible for maintaining functionality of the showroom.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 5+ years technical Sales experience in related field (Solutions, Software, Document Management, Manage Print Services) with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding quota. Required: MCP or higher, CDIA+, Network+, and Security+ (if not presently certified, must be attained within first 6-months of employment) Desired: CNA, CNE, MCSE, Supported Canon and 3rd Party Software Certifications (ex. eCopy Products, imageWARE, uniFLOW,)
