Maintenance Process

• Perform maintenance of casting dies as scheduled by leadership
  • Disassembly & assembly
  • Welding, Machining, & Polishing
  • Inspection, cleaning, repair, & replacement of components
  • Functional checks to assure die is operating correctly

Administrative Tasks

• Completing clear paperwork documentation of various maintenance tasks such as:
  • Scheduled regular maintenance of dies
  • Spare component inventory usage
  • Production breakdown repairs

Production Support

• Provide support to repair dies when production stops due to a die issue, often inside the casting machine or another area as needed
• Prioritize production breakdown repairs when more than one occurs at the same time
• Clear and timely communication with Die Maintenance leadership, Quality, and Die Casting about status of breakdown repairs, such as:
  • How long the repair will take and communication when it is completed
  • If the die needs to be removed from the casting machine to repair

• Ability or willingness to learn how to read manufacturing drawings
• Ability or willingness to learn TIG and MIG welding
• Ability or willingness to learn Manual and CNC machining and fabrication
• Ability or willingness to learn proper use of inspection gages
• Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing and shop environment
• Good math skills
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude
