Position Summary: Shepherd Electric Supply, a leading Wholesale Distributor since 1892, headquartered in Baltimore with locations in Laurel, Frederick, Washington DC and Sterling, VA, is seeking a highly motivated individual to drive our vehicles, while assisting our Warehouse team when needed.

Schedule: Monday Friday, 4:00 am 1:00 pm

Pay: $20.00/hr.

Essential Functions:

• Transporting material via minimum 26 ft box / flatbed trucks (manual and automatic trans)
• Experience truck driving in Baltimore City, a must
• Loading trucks for deliveries and unloading trucks, when needed
• Handling general warehouse duties to include wrapping pallets with handheld shrink wrap and picking / packing customer orders for second shift
• Ability to deliver material onto secured installations with cleared background check
• Performs all other associated tasks assigned by Leadership team

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience in city, with a clean motor vehicle record required
• CDL "B" License Required
• Current DOT and Medical Certification cards required
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• Knowledge of air brake systems
• Forklift certification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
