Job Summary:The Project Manager for Development work with the client to evaluate the sites, conducting site investigations to determine the project requirements, managing the design consultants and construction administration. Duties/Responsibilities: - Design management of freestanding ground up projects
- Develop and manage project budgets & schedules
- Permitting of freestanding projects
- Work with clients and representing them as a stakeholder
- Work with planning, zoning and building departments along with other authorities having jurisdiction over ground up projects to obtain project approvals and permits
- Review construction plans along with the coordination of drawings for accuracy and value engineering
- Conflict resolution, negotiation and risk management
Required Skills / Abilities:- Microsoft Project, Auto CAD, Auto Turn along with other Microsoft office products
- Diverse background in development, design and construction
- Good communication skills to communicate effectively with all stake holders
- This position requires approximately 10% - 30% travel with the duration of each trip being 2 to 3 days
Education and Experience:- BA or BS in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning or Construction Management. Or a proven track record with related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) by PMI
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
