POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in sales to contractor salespeople and their customer's accounts. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for standard daily sales functions such as: - Providing support to a sales partner
- Facilitate and maintain required / recommended documentation
- Receive and process orders and/or quotes by email and in person
- Coordination of deliveries with dispatcher as needed
- Must have a valid driver's license to make occasional deliveries
- Responsible for maintaining a cash drawer as assigned
- Initiate and follow up on special orders
- Working with suppliers or applicable yard personnel in order to ensure timely order delivery / pickup
- Follow work schedule to ensure proper coverage
- Follow all procedures for handling special orders as outlined by management
- Daily use of software relating to sales and delivery
- Additional duties as required or assigned by management
EDUCATION: Minimum: H.S. Diploma or GED Preferred but not required: Some college or technical school training in construction trades EXPERIENCE: 12 months experience in sales in the lumber industry or a related field. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Ability to provide excellent customer service, communication skills - Ability to work well as a team or independently - Ability to learn operating systems, in order to enter orders and quotes - Ability to do basic math, read orders, follow instructions, and complete forms - Communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors using verbal, written, or other skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: -Sitting for long periods of time -Lift 50 pounds up to a height of 5 feet -Carry 100 pounds over a distance exceeding 12 feet -Push 100 pounds in a wheeled cart -Bend, stoop, or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis -Reach over head to grasp materials -Stand for up to 4 hours at a time ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: -May work inside in many different environments -May work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Valid operator's license Insurability for driving This is a full time position and provides an excellent benefits package including: - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance - Life, Disability (Long Term & Short Term) & AD&D Insurance - Accident Insurance - 401K - Profit Sharing - FSA (Medical and/or Dependent Care) - Paid Time Off - Paid Holidays & More!!!
