Description: The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to develop strategic HR processes and policies. Functional areas will include (but are not limited to) policies and procedures, compensation, performance management, and employment law.
General HR: Administers various human resources policies and procedures; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbooks for staff Complies with company policies, legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance Participates in investigations, claims of harassment and other violations of company policies Documents all verbal and written counseling, meets with the employee and manager regularly to track the status of improvement of performance initiatives and brings issues to closure Partners with Human Resources Manager on various employee relations matters Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs Serve as the liaison for Payroll and Benefit questions. Communicates HR policies Compensation: Completes and utilizes approved salary surveys to prepare salary range, salary and Compa- Ratios for positions Evaluates job descriptions determining their FLSA exemption classification and makes recommendation to Human Resources Manager Partners with Human Resources Manager to administer the merit/market increase process Prepares job descriptions in conjunction with incumbent and their manager Identifies sources to be used to determine compensation ranges and sets ranges based on job responsibilities Performs other projects / duties as may be assigned

Demonstrated skills in planning, directing, and administering human resources programs and policies Possess demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current trends and practices of human resources administration Strong abilities in researching complex issues and developing recommended actions Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with internal and external individuals of all cultures Ability to analyze issues, determine causes of problems, identify and implement solutions and measure results Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing work priorities Documentation skills to provide clear and concise details of meetings and situations Ability to prioritize and delegate workflow while managing multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrated high level of project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and with frequent interruptions Ability to work competently with HRIS data programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel or similar spreadsheet program Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled
