Restaurant Manager Job Description:
The Restaurant Manager (RM) is responsible for working closely with the General Manager (GM) and Multi-Unit Manager to ensure the overall success of their restaurant. This includes being responsible for the overall efficiency, quality, service, and financial performance of the restaurant.
Restaurant Manager Duties:
The RM is both a strong manager and a strong leader for the entire restaurant team as well as the face of the restaurant to the public. This entails building a team of people who believe in our company values and mission by leading through an example to foster a respectful, productive, motivating, and fun work environment. In conjunction with the restaurant management team, the RM implements training, delegates responsibilities, and maintains effective operational systems. These systems include POS and cash handling, food production, bar production, guest service, inventory, purchasing, safe food handling procedures, facility maintenance, and labor/staffing management. In the Felipes model, RMs are comfortable with hands-on food production and hands-on repair and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility issues. Hours are at times long and require availability on weekends, days, and nights depending on the demands of the restaurant. This position is the entry point for growth into GM and MUM and the foundation of the growth and expansion of the company.
