As part of the Finance and Accounting team, and under moderate supervision, responsible for the company's standard accounting functions and financial analyses. Regularly compile, examine, interpret, communicate, and disseminate accounting, finance and trending reports to key stakeholders. Assist with monthly close duties, tax filings, bank reconciliations, budget, expenses, and audits. Collaborate with, and respond accurately and timely to information requests from, team members across the company. Support business decision-making and drive performance improvement across the accounting team and company.
Perform a blend of Accounting and Financial Analyst functions, including preparation and review of transactions and reports ensuring accurate and timely financial interpretation and reporting.
Develop, analyze, interpret, and report on financial results and compare to expectations.
Assist with compiling and evaluating the company's financial statements, budgets, and other reports. Highlight variances and trends timely, comparing results to projections. Recommend related business impacting improvements.
Regularly review and report on, and update as required, standard costs, inventory, packaging, and labor to ensure alignment of Operational capabilities.
Complete standard Accounting transactions and internal reporting including but not limited to account and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, foreign currency transactions, month end closing, audits, expenses, and taxes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, financial policies, and internal controls.
Work cross functionally with departments to aid in expense classification, analytics, and reporting.
Collaborate to learn the business and enhance financial fact-based decision making across the organization.
Prepare and produce production metrics and other ad-hoc labor tracking.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance ideal, plus minimum of 2 years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food processing, with some Financial Analysis experience.
High ethical standards and values upholding business integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality, including GAAP compliance.
Excellent MS Office and data visualization tools, PowerBI ideal. SQL knowledge a plus.
ERP skills required; Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
