Our line cooks are responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served to our guests, making sure all applicable sanitation, health, personal hygiene standards, and food production programs and procedures are followed.
The line cook has many responsibilities and wears different hats throughout the day including: preparation, cooking, cleaning, setting up the kitchen, etc... all while keeping a smile on their faces and providing great customer service. Collaboration skills, composure, multi-tasking, and communication skills are a must!
The line cook operates kitchen equipment such as oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, steamer, mixer and chef's knives and is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and fire. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The line cook may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. This position is definitely not for the faint of heart!
