COMMUNITY EDUCATION REPRESENTATIVE - Sales


Generate clinically appropriate patient referrals/admissions from customers and continue to grow the number of referrals/admissions over time. Develop, new customer accounts, and gain referrals/admissions within the designated territory. Establish and maintain professional relationships with all referral sources, including physicians, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospital personnel, including but not limited to case managers, discharge planners, and other appropriate referral sources as assigned.


Meet or exceed all growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market awareness, acceptance, and allegiance throughout the local service area. Represent Day City Hospice and its services in a competent, ethical, professional, legal, and responsive manner. Interact with Day City Hospice patient care management and staff in a team-oriented fashion consistent with the organization's culture and policies. Maintain standards of high-quality customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company's budget. Travel as necessary.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Meet with team members and learn what their role is within Day City Hospice

Become familiar with the Medicare Hospice Benefit

Know how Day City Hospice differentiates itself

Successfully complete the CER field orientation as determined by the supervisor

Participate in filed rides with key staff members

Roleplay several types of sales call to the satisfaction of the supervisor

Begin territory analysis and build territory profile using CRM application

Develop and maintain a list of possible objections and potential professional responses Ongoing Responsibilities

Generate appropriate referrals to Day City Hospice from current and new customers within the territory

Meet or exceed growth and development targets

Continue to learn about customers' business operations, industry trends, challenges, and day-to-day objectives

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the hospice industry

Implement marketing initiatives as directed by supervisor

Conduct educational in-services for customers

Maintain an organized and appropriately stocked sales kit in the vehicle during each workday

Consistently update CRM software to ensure accurate and timely customer information is available

Participate in meetings as directed by supervisor

Always Maintain professional dress and decorum

Comply with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and established personnel policies and procedures

Regular attendance is to be maintained

.Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:


-Bachelor's degree and related healthcare experience and knowledge preferred


-Minimum of three to five years of professional sales experience preferred. Additional related experience in the health care industry also preferred


-Demonstrated history of positive sales results, preferably involving sophisticated and meaningful customer relationships that led to outstanding results


-Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills


-Ability to market effectively with customers, referral sources and the community


-Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices


-Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements


-Valid driver's license with the maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Day City Hospice requirements and is in good working order


-Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting


-Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers


-Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening


-Self-directed with the ability to work with little daily supervision


-Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
