Job Location: Fort Worth, TX

Full time; Cooper Wellness Strategies. The Fitness Manager (FM) is responsible for managing onsite facility operations and programs according to the company's vision, values, and strategic objectives onsite at the Alcon fitness facility in Fort Worth, TX. The FM provides positive leadership in areas of customer service, staff management and client liaison relations while overseeing the operations and financial management of the assigned client facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all general onsite facility operations and financial accountability as assigned such as facility operations budget, annual facility operations planning process, onsite technology system oversight, facility marketing/communications, program planning and implementation
  • Directly supervise 1+ teammates in the client facility carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Accurately monitor supplies and expenses for each area of responsibility
  • Ensure budget adherence and assist as needed in profit and loss statement review
  • Assist Cooper corporate account team to review monthly, quarterly and annual metrics for site, providing key insights into metric trends and/or suggestions for improvement
  • Assist Cooper corporate account team in short-term and long-term strategic planning of the facility with respect to staffing, programming, systems, facilities, equipment and other facility-related areas
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and ensure Cooper customer service standards and expectations are met
  • Oversee planning, management, implementation and evaluation of Cooper Quest member engagement program
  • Provide strong leadership for facility staff with focus on training and skill development
  • Perform daily facility walk-throughs to ensure all areas of responsibility are clean and organized; if deficient, take necessary actions to improve
  • Complete monthly client invoicing and submit to Cooper corporate account team according to established timelines for review and approval
  • Partner with Cooper and client marketing departments to manage facility and program communication content, standards and timelines
  • Partner with Cooper corporate account team and other resources to leverage Cooper educational content in program design, facility promotions and other approved campaigns
  • Partner with Cooper and client technology departments to manage facility technology systems
  • Provide oversight and establish relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Meet weekly with Cooper corporate account team to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are measured and graded and facility is meeting or exceeding program and budgetary goals
  • Assume responsibility and take appropriate action in the event of an emergency (e.g., medical incident, fire alarm, etc.) within the facility or grounds
  • Develop and maintain strong partner relationship with client liaisons and other facility vendors to continually promote Cooper values
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Four year college degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or other applicable field
  • At least three years of experience in either corporate or commercial fitness facility management
  • Ability to assess fitness levels and develop exercise prescriptions
  • Experience leading and organizing recreation programs
  • Professional fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, Cooper, NASM, or similar)
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
