Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Location: Boynton Beach, FL

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting processes for the organization by carrying out accounting and financial tasks with the goal of assuring consistent systems of internal controls, accurate and timely recording of all financial activities, report and analyze financial results of operations for the assigned business function(s).

What you’ll do:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receive, audit and process high volume PO and non-PO accounts payable invoices in workflow
  • Analyze, research and proactively resolve invoicing issues
  • Professional communication with internal business units in order to resolve invoicing issues
  • Research, respond and follow-up to vendor inquiries regarding invoicing and payment matters
  • Verify accounts payable balances by receiving and reconciling vendor statements monthly
  • Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks
  • Request statements from vendors
  • Maintain vendor master data
  • Support month/quarter/year-end closing processes
  • Assist with periodic audits and provide accounts payable documentation as requested
  • Perform and support special projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus one year of related experience
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience
  • Team player that is self-motivated, has excellent communication skills and is capable of working in a high transaction volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Work knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is preferred)
  • Work knowledge of workflow management and invoice approval process
  • Work knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Extraordinary attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and execute goals, objectives and action items
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
