Overview
SCA, a leader in the outpatient surgery industry, strategically partners with health plans, medical groups and health systems across the country to develop and optimize surgical facilities. SCA operates more than 210 surgical facilities, including ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals, in partnership with approximately 7,500 physicians. Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Is responsible for assisting the supervision of the Billing Clerks including orientation and evaluation
- Assisting the lead to ensure that administrative procedures are carried out timely and accurately.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all financial statements for submission.
- Helps coordinate the Billing Department so that the operation is most efficient for all concerned.
- Responsible for the accurate interpretation and implementation of all policies, procedures and processes.
- Demonstrates competency in performing job task and in operating equipment on an annual basis
- Utilizes time effectively
- Helps oversee Billing Clerks
- Reports established matrix on established timeline.
- Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- One to three years experience in a medical office, outpatient surgery center or hospital.
- Medical terminology knowledge required.
- Computer experience, Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software and Applications.
- Good communication skills and phone etiquette.
