We are currently searching for a Systems Engineer to join our team working at the William J. Hughes Technical Center to conduct comprehensive system-wide review and analysis of all aspects of the National Airspace System (NAS) development life cycle, particularly the Air Traffic Control (ATC ) system, including ATC automation, communications, and navigation and surveillance elements of the NAS. Provides expertise in the transition of legacy systems to modernized systems.

The Systems Engineer should have the knowledge skills and abilities as follows:
- Basic knowledge and/or experience in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and its applications in system designs; industry standards and best practices, available standard tools for automation, configuration, and configuration management
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability with fundamental understanding of various network protocols and domain controls. Experience with those often used in FAA network systems a plus
- Conceptual knowledge and/or experience in system designs and integration, network modernization such as time-division multiplexing (TDM) to Internet Protocol (IP) solutions design and configuration of large-scale Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) to understand the environment will be a plus
Excellent organizational, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills are a must.
A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field and 2-6 years of related work experience is required.
