Overview

SCA, a leader in the outpatient surgery industry, strategically partners with health plans, medical groups and health systems across the country to develop and optimize surgical facilities. SCA operates more than 210 surgical facilities, including ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals, in partnership with approximately 7,500 physicians. Accountabilities / Responsibilities

SCA's Corporate Development Team invests in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), where surgeons provide high quality, lower cost outpatient surgeries. Since 2010, SCA's Corporate Development Team has invested in 100+ ASCs in partnership with health plans, medical groups and health systems across the country.

The Corporate Development Analyst is responsible for:
  • Developing financial models with input from SCA's Corporate Development & Operations teammates that help evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to successfully execute transactions
  • Assisting in preparation of executive approval packages and external pitch presentations by providing financial outputs and/or market research summaries


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Finance, Economics, Business or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, accounting, equity research, consulting, private equity, or finance preferred
  • Understanding of finance and valuation concepts, including discounted cash flow analysis and internal rate of return
  • Strong oral and written communicational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at different levels in an organization
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Approximately 40% travel is required
