Description
Responsible for the daily administration functions for the medical clinics. Holds practice managers for specialties accountable for cost effectiveness/financial management, access to services, member satisfaction and teamwork with operational areas.
Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A graduate degree (MHA or MBA) is preferred.
Experience
- Five years of management experience in a physician practice.
- Candidates should have experience in building/leading a strong staff.
- Requires an understanding of medical practice management, Joint Commission standards, and how private and hospital owned physician practices operate.
- Demonstrated leadership in a practice management environment with financial and reimbursement experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance and budgeting
- Mastery of how to efficiently run a multi-site physician network, with the ability to evaluate existing operations.
- Significant skill in communicating with and relating to physicians, including the ability to establish a productive and cohesive partnership with physicians. Understanding of the driving forces in the marketplace impacting specialty physicians.
- Intimate knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a physician practice management. Key areas include improving physician practice productivity, establishing productivity standards, physician billing and collections, managed care contracting, physician relations, scheduling and referral tracking management.
