Job Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Role:
•Manage and support the delivery of credit union products and services consistent with the financial, operational, and growth related strategic plans of the organization. Foster a service & sales oriented environment by ensuring the highest standards of service are provided to the membership. Demonstrate community leadership by building networking relationships and branch awareness.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
•Maintain a high level of service & sales orientation through training, coaching, and team building. Ensure the credit union strategic initiatives, core values, and service standards are upheld. Successfully attain annual branch score card related goals.
•Support branch operations by exhibiting knowledge of opening deposit accounts, servicing members with existing accounts, processing financial transactions, interviewing loan applicants, processing documents, and resolving complex member account matters. Support and oversee small branch locations within close proximity and/or maintain positive working relationships with various corporate divisions within branch location.
•Represent the branch in its relationship with the membership, segmented employee groups, peers, and various community organizations and affiliations. Build a referral network through active participation in community outreach programs and fund raising campaigns.
•Assist with interviewing and selection process. Conducts performance evaluations, recommend appropriate personnel actions, and facilitate performance management.
•Maintain professional appearance of branch to ensure a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Recommend branch expenditures and budgetary needs to facilitate sound operations. Manage the safety and security of the branch and routinely monitor security systems.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Expectations:
•Exemplify and model the credit union service standards.
•Support the credit union's initiative to create a sales environment by building member relationships.
•Demonstrate full working knowledge of credit union loan and deposit products and services.
•Comply with lending and depository regulations, policies, and procedures.
•Inform supervisor of operating issues affecting the branch's ability to maintain or improve profitability.
•Maintain and develop a qualified staff to meet the needs of the branch.
•Maintain confidentiality with credit union proprietary information.
•Display professionalism in appearance and daily demeanor.

Knowledge and Skills:
•Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
•A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
•The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

Other Skills:
•Effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
•High level of service orientation.
•Ability to present information with diplomacy and tact.
•Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing credit union products and services.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
•Ability to operate standard office equipment.
•Strong multi-tasking skills.
•Ability to lift, move, or transfer items, materials, or product up to 30 lbs.
