Job Responsibilities:
Clean sheet design of automated systems using robotics. Able to deduce what type of robot needs to be used and from which manufacturer(s)? - Adept, Fanuc, Motoman or some other manufacturer or perhaps no robot needs to be used. A machine may need to built in-house. Ability to tie all manufacturing systems together by using C++, C#, or other Microsoft language. Determine whether machine needs to be hard-tooled or automated. Set up robots and/or in-house built machines, install them, powering them up, and program them. Special mounting platforms may need to be designed.
May need to design mechanisms such as grippers or end-of-arm tooling. Write software to enable operator to control, operate, and monitor robots from a remote locations as well as have robots communicate to the plant’s MRP system what parts have been used and when parts throughout the stages of production. This requires knowledge of C++, VB, or C#.
Requirements:
Minimum seven years experience in designing automated systems using robots, systems integration, knowledge of MRP, robot/machine installation, set-up/power-up and programming of robotic automated manufacturing systems. Knowledge of C++, VB, or C#
