Position Description:
- Conduct and coordinate product engineering activities for assigned projects
- Responsible for the engineering content, project planning, control, organizational communication and timely completion of work activities.
- Insures successful launch of products

- Insure successful launch of products developed through effective use of the company's Product
- Development Process and the disciplined identification of potential design failure modes and mitigation of associated cause(s).
- Meet product introduction deadlines and produce products at or below target cost expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform product development activities in compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and other related specifications
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases
- Confer with supervisor to coordinate activity of engineering and other department personnel to insure effective completion of associated tasks Insures effective scheduling and completion of engineering product design reviews
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing and emerging technologies enabling value-added products
- Drive commercialization success in product development and cultivate a technical passion for achievement
- Develop and manage project schedules in addition to creating intermediate projects milestones and associated metrics to assess level of success during project execution stages
- Collaborate with other functional departments, suppliers and customers to insure effective product specification
Qualifications:
- Strong record of individual accomplishment in the commercialization of new products; Minimum 5+ years experience working with electromechanical products and demonstrated experience and accomplishment developing electromechanical products and/or electromechanical controls.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical products design, electrical circuit and controls application; 3D CAD experience and knowledge. Fundament understanding and/or experience of design and application of pumps and valves considered a big plus
- Experience programming control systems using ladder logic or C++ considered a big plus
Education:
BS ME, or perhaps Structural Engineering
Compensation:
DOE Up to $85K for senior level engineer
