Responsibilities:

  • Project execution and accountability for the completion of projects on schedule, within budget and according to specified quality. Project administration, engineering, environmental engineering, project control, procurement, construction and commissioning. Select, organize and supervise the company's project team.
  • Serve as Engineering/Operations Project Manager for large-scale, mid-stream projects.
  • Assist in determining project objectives on the development of a comprehensive project design. Outline project requirements, assign tasks, coordinate project activities with other operating units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff on project. Supervise progress to ensure objectives are met.
  • Decision making and integrating resources as needed to meet project objectives.
  • Assist in the negotiation of construction contracts; administration of the contracts including subcontracts and Change Orders.
  • Direct preparation of permit applications and filings and coordinate with Project Owner to support community and governmental affairs and other project team members.
  • Direct, evaluate and review the documentation of technical specifications and requirements.
  • Direct preparation of project status reports and forecasts for project costs and schedules. Make corrective action decisions as required.
  • Hire and supervise Owner's Engineers and construction supervisors to ensure final design is consistent with company standards and the project requirements.
  • Anticipate, identify and resolve obstacles/issues that put the project at risk.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE experience with underground natural gas storage or salt dome underground storage. Minimum of seven years of progressive engineering and project experience in energy industry (crude, natural gas, liquid gas, refinery, or down line pipeline). Experience in Greenfield projects from start to finish. Minimum of two years experience leading projects in the industry.

Education:
Minimum BS in Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer or Project Management certification

Compensation:
DOE Base salary plus bonus.
