Wichitas number one mortgage lender for the last 5 years straight is expanding our underwriting force. The candidate for this position will be responsible for leading and developing a team of residential underwriters in underwriting residential loan requests based on qualifying guidelines and evaluating loan files to ensure residential loans are insurable and sellable. The candidate will be responsible for leading group participation in interdepartmental activities and developing solutions for situations of a complex nature. The candidate will assist with answering questions for loan personnel to provide information regarding qualifying or underwriting guidelines.
Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential loan underwriting required, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to problem solve and work within specific deadlines. Delegated Endorsement from FHA as well as VA LAPP Authority are preferred. Valid drivers license required. The ability to work late and/or flexible hours.
