Wichitas number one mortgage lender for the last 5 years straight is expanding our underwriting force. The candidate for this position will be responsible for underwriting mortgage loans for Fidelity Bank customers to provide financing. The candidate will be responsible for approving or denying loan requests based on qualifying guidelines and evaluating loan files to ensure the loans are insurable and sellable. The candidate will assist with answering questions for loan personnel to provide information regarding qualifying or underwriting guidelines.
Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), Bachelors degree in related field (can be waived in lieu of experience), a minimum of 3 years of experience in residential loan underwriting required, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to problem solve and work within specific deadlines. Delegated Endorsement from FHA as well as VA LAPP Authority are preferred. The ability to work late and/or flexible hours.
