The candidate for this position will be instrumental in the development and execution of internal Banks audit plans to identify risks and evaluate controls and efficiencies as well as contribute to the safeguarding of corporate assets and interests of the Bank. The candidate will provide support to the creation of policies and procedures while providing value added recommendations and will identify process weaknesses. The candidate will be responsible for conducting audits and deliver findings to staff and senior management. The candidate will participate in departmental meetings to explain audit objectives, perform audit tests and document processes.
Requirements for the position include a high school diploma (or equivalent) a Bachelors degree in a Business related field (waived in lieu of experience), a Certified Internal Auditor designation preferred. Regulatory compliance and/or bank audit experience required. Strong verbal, written and organizational skills as well as strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems required. Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Ability to work independently with oversight from the Audit Manager. Ability to work flexible and/or late hours required. Overnight and/or road travel may be required on occasion.
