The candidate for this position will be responsible for maintaining resources for underwriting guidelines and communicating updates with affected parties. Lead group participation of interdepartmental problem solving activities. Analyze and solve situations and problems of a complex nature. Supervise department underwriters. The candidate will be responsible for underwriting mortgage loans for Fidelity Bank customers to provide financing. The candidate will be responsible for approving or denying loan requests based on qualifying guidelines and evaluating loan files to ensure the loans are insurable and sellable. In addition, the candidate will assist with answering questions for loan personnel to provide information regarding qualifying or underwriting guidelines.
Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential loan underwriting required, delegated endorsement from HUD and VA Lapp Authority within twelve months of employment is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to problem solve and work within specific deadlines. Valid drivers license required. The ability to work late and/or flexible hours.
