Job Details:

Data Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to apply the knowledge of data characteristics and data supply pattern, develop rules and tracking process to support data quality model. Prepare data for analytical use by building data pipelines to gather data from multiple sources and systems. Integrate, consolidate, cleanse and structure data for use by our clients in our solutions. Perform design, creation, and interpretation of large and highly complex datasets. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in GCP and related technologies, actively proposing and evaluating new solutions. Understand best practices for data management, maintenance, reporting and security and use that knowledge to implement improvements in our solutions. Implement security best practices in pipelines and infrastructure. Develop and implement data quality checks and troubleshoot data anomalies. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers. Review dataset implementations performed by junior data engineers.

Requires:

Master's degree in information technology, computer science, data science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, data science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Creating data flow diagrams and mapping specification documents between source and target systems using Lucid charts and Qlik; Writing complex SQL queries for business analytics utilizing Oracle, SQL server, Impala, or other RDBMS system; Data engineering principles: Data Modelling, Building Data pipelines, Performance tuning (Pyspark), and monitoring infrastructure (Amazon Quick sight); Data warehousing: Bigquery, Hive, and Snowflake; and Automate and schedule ETL/data Pipelines (including Airflow and Harmony).
