Job Details:

Data Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to prepare data for analytical use by building data pipe-lines to gather data from multiple sources and systems, integrating, consolidating and cleansing data, and structuring data for use by clients in the solutions. Perform design, create, and interpret large and highly complex datasets. Consult with clients to understand the business requirements to successfully build data sets and implement complex big data solutions. Understand best practices for data management, maintenance, reporting and security and use that knowledge to implement improvements in solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers. Review dataset implementations performed by junior data engineers. Develop strategies, standards and best practices in the areas of data wrangling, data integration and lead team adoption across analytical platforms. Develop sustainable, reusable, and rigorously tested data pipelines wrangled from disparate systems to drive faster, more informed decision making and actionable insights. Collaborate with Data, Analytics, Marketing, and Technology leads to develop seamless consumption of data and drive actionable insights generation from Equifax’s new big data analytical platform. Participate in identification, design, and implement internal process improvements: automate manual processes, optimizing data delivery, conducting data quality check.

Requires:

Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Quality, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation in analytics and data-based product development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Quality, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation in analytics and data-based product development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, aggregate, and analyze data for business analytics purposes utilizing Bigquery, Oracle, SQL server, Hive, or Impala, or other RDBMS system; Design, develop, and automate ETL pipelines in Airflow or an ETL tool for data flow and orchestration; Create complex dashboards and visualizations utilizing Tableau or other data visualization tools; Build, load, transform, and analyze data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other similar cloud environments such as AWS/AZURE; Analyze data using Python, SQL, Microsoft Excel, PySpark, Spark SQL for Data Mining, Data Cleansing, Data Mining and Machine Learning; Experience working Entity Resolution methodologies; and Utilize GitHub in an Agile environment.
