Job Details:
Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Chicago, IL, to develop strategic design and requirements on small systems or modules of large systems (large scale); guide and mentor junior developers in developing code and workflow procedures, and conduct code reviews; perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation; work independently to support software through the entire software development life cycle; work on one or more projects, making contributions to unfamiliar code written by team members; diagnose and resolve performance issues; participate in estimation process, use case specifications, reviews of test plans and test cases, requirements, and project planning; document code/processes so that any other developer is able to dive in with minimal effort; introduce tools and automates repetitive processes; develop and maintain web applications utilizing the ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms, Entity framework, and Angular; design and implement functionality on all layers of application, i.e., data, business, and presentation layers; manage individual project priorities, deadlines and work; translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design; understanding of BDD/TDD practices, code review and analysis techniques, and open source agile testing frameworks; participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards; work with Cloud Platforms like AWS, GCP and Deploying and automating infrastructure/applications using Chef, RPM, Docker, AWS (ECS, ECR), Terraform, etc.; experience in overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance; and work with product owners, UX and other business partners to define work for the team.
Requires:
Master's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation with experience in software development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation with experience in software development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): ASP.NET; Relational databases Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and SQL; C#; CI/CD; Azure DevOps or Jira; Microsoft Dynamics CRM; and Git. Salary: $118,335.00/year.
