Job Details:
Site Reliability Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to monitor infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives. Develop and administer software in public cloud. Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and performing launch reviews. Drive maintenance of services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health; scale system’s sustainably through mechanisms such as automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity. Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems. Influence and create new designs, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale systems. Improve the software development lifecycle from inception and design, through development, deployment, operation and refinement. Design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale systems. Maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health. Monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability.
Requires:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Test Lead, Technical Consultant, or related occupation with experience in site reliability engineering, or designing test cases/test plans or, alternatively, a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Test Lead, Technical Consultant, or related occupation with experience in site reliability engineering, or designing test cases/test plans. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): build and maintain APIs using programming languages including Python and Java; build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications; CI/CD using Jenkins and Git; Bash, Python, or Java; monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability; developing and administering software in public/private cloud (AWS or GCP); and using containerization and build systems.
