JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years previous experience in a manufacturing plant required, including demonstrated experience with best practices in both managerial and production platforms and applications within the textile industry.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, most notably Excel, as well as internet usage, business websites and an ERP system (AX preferred)
- Working knowledge of production, production support systems, and management and administrative policies and procedures in order to manage a diverse, multi-million dollar manufacturing program
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, and ability to get along with diverse personalities, skill levels and disabilities; tactful and even-tempered.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate people and promote teamwork
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal/external groups to achieve business results
- Maintain employee attendance records
- Maintain time-keeping system for employees
- Knowledge of inventory management principles
- Knowledge of bill of material principles
- Knowledge of mathematics
- Working knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Possess a positive work attitude and a willingness to carry out instructions
- Ability to work independently with periodic consultation and direction
- Ability to express and share knowledge and ideas in a team environment
