POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Director/General Manager of Envision Dallas is responsible for oversight of overall operations, call center and philanthropic mission of Envision Dallas. The ED/GM is responsible for identifying and implementing operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of Envision Dallas goals. Leads long term initiatives including the formulation, planning, and implementation of strategies and activities for operations, sales and mission functional areas that support organizational objectives. Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of all Envision Dallas operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  1. Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
  2. Ensure that all policies and procedures align with the companys objectives in support of Envision, Inc. mission and Strategic Plan.
  3. Confers with the CEO of Envision, Inc. and other Executive Leaders to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  4. Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance, donor cultivation and new product development.
  5. Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
  6. Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.
  7. Increase management`s effectiveness by selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining leaders; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.
  8. Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, donors, volunteers and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
  9. Reviews and approves preparation of financial analysis for planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures. Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
  10. Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
  11. Oversee the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities to include donor cultivation activities and planned giving activities relative to the strategic direction for Envision Dallas.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the CEO of Envision, Inc.




Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field required; Masters degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with the responsibilities of production, purchasing, inventory and production control, and warehouse/shipping and receiving, including a minimum of 5 years in an executive leadership role required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills, high principles and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Participative management style; advocates team concept.
  • Ability to project a positive image to peers and subordinates, and to the customers we serve.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful and mature.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
