POSITION SUMMARY

Manage the overall effective operation of the PRIDE (People Reaching for Independence and the Development of Excellence) program in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as the organizations policies and procedures. This program delivers day support services to adults who are legally blind and have an intellectual developmental disability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Develop, implement and manage processes, policies and procedures that support and ensure compliance with patient care support plans and behavior support plans, as well as compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, while aligning with Envisions objectives.
  • Effectively and strategically utilize current and new information regarding compliance regulations in order to recommend best practices to ensure delivery of exemplary services to the Consumers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal laws, regulations, policies and procedures pertinent to employment services.
  • Provide effective and collaborative leadership to the department. Supervise direct reports, providing guidance on day-to-day tasks, Consumer care, training, time management, employee evaluations and performance management. Inspect work performed by direct reports to ensure that quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Achieve financial objectives by participating in the development of an annual expense budget, help identify scheduled expenditures and make cost-saving suggestions in support of maximum utilization of resources in order to ensure that the department operates within budget requirements.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with individuals, organizations, companies, and sister agencies and other non-profits in order to build PRIDEs brand position, mission awareness, referral networks and future collaborative relationships. Utilize these relationships to seek opportunities for work assignments to be completed by the Consumers.
  • Collaborate with Foundations and Mission Services colleagues to foster relationships with strategic community leaders, governmental agencies, corporations, foundations and other organizations. Utilize these relationships to promote PRIDE services by creating and executing speaking opportunities, partnerships and appearances.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate admission into the PRIDE program.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: Bachelors degree in health related or social services field (Rehabilitation, Sociology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field) required.

Experience: Minimum of five years supervisory experience required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members while managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, making decisions and producing results.
  • Knowledge of the social, physical and psychological aspects of human behavior and disability as related to personal, social and vocational adjustment.
  • Ability to carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software including Microsoft Office suite.

    Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must maintain a current First Aid certification.
  • Must maintain a current CPR certification.
  • Current drivers license and driving record in good standing required.
