Primary Job Responsibilities
Provide Highway Design Engineering /Project Management – supervise design, calculations and contract document preparation services for clients and other Jacobs Offices as required. The position is based in our Morristown, NJ office. Engineering required for but not limited too:
- Highway/Roadway Geometric Design
- Supervision and Hands-On Development of All Contract Documents including Survey Ties, Geometric Data and Ties, Typical Sections, Construction Plans , Grading Plans, Profiles, Cross Sections, Staging and MPT Plans, Quantity Estimates, Cost Estimates, Details, Specifications and Incorporation of Other Design Discipline Plans and Documents. Experience with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, PA NY&NJ and other major NY Metro Area Clients, NJ Counties a Plus.
- Experience in Proposal Preparation for Major Public and Private Clients. Presentation Skills a Plus.
Training and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements:
- A BS Degree In Civil Engineering
- NJ P.E. License and Experience in Design for Major NJ Area Public Agencies
- 15+ years of experience in highway design
Additional Minimum Qualifications/Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with NJDOT, NJTA
- Hands-On MicroStation ( InRoads ) Design Experience
- Ability and Knowledge Adequate for Supervision of CADD Applications In Highway/Roadway Design When In PM Role
