Job Details:

Eberspaecher Controls North America, Inc. seeks a Resident Engineer for a position in Brighton, MI to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) onsite for projects related to engineering, technical assistance, manufacturing, quality, and special projects focusing on optimizing product integration for automotive switches and on-board electrical systems. Represent the company in regular customer engagements in order to use customer information actively later and serve as the point of contact for technical questions. Gather trade data to support the investigation of failures and test of ECIs in the car and on the bench. Manage collection of information from test drivers. Participate in test fleets to recognize upcoming issues. Support engineers during integration of the ECU and CAR. Manage software and calibration updates and coordinate the technical requirements for development tasks together with the core team members. Coordinate and assess development results. Create vehicle integration test strategy using the customer specifications. Conduct all business-related activities for, and on behalf of, the company within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or in a similar role. The two (2) years of experience must include engineering of automotive electronics including high power semiconductor switches for all types of on-board electrical systems, super capacitors for suspension stabilization, steer by wire, and electrical system stabilization. The same two (2) years of experience must also include all of the following: engineering and testing High Power Switches, Electronic Relays (MOSFET), Battery-Management-Systems 12V - 48V, High Voltage Vehicle Heater 400V/800V DC, Ultra-Capacitor Modules - secure Energy Storage, SMD Soldering, developing test harnesses, CAN/LIN, MOST, creating/programming CAN Rest-Bus Simulations, Oscilloscope, 400Volt AC Power line knowledge, Green Hills - Probe debugger, Infineon E1 /E2 debugger, Vector – CANoe, Vector – CANalizer, Vector vSpy, Vector VT System, Vector VT Test Simulations, Vector CANdela, and Pico Scope (oscilloscope).
