Description
Hydrasearch is looking for a CAD Draftsperson to join our team in Stevensville, MD. This position supports the Engineering and Manufacturing organization by providing clear, accurate models and drawings of parts and assemblies. Utilizing SolidWorks software, the draftsperson transforms initial rough designs into 3D models and 2D drawings. With guidance and support from senior staff, the drafts person uses their knowledge of drafting techniques as well as internal instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Responsibilities:
- Create or revise Engineering drawings using SolidWorks and Dixon Drafting Standards
- Work with production and Engineering personnel to revise drawings to reflect product and manufacturing improvements
- Assist Engineering in performing part inspections of both raw materials and machined product
Competencies:
- Ability to do basic math including geometry, trigonometry, and algebra
- Ability to look at 2 dimensional drawing and visualize in 3 dimensional object
- Strong technical and mechanical ability
- Detail oriented
- Ability to learn and operate CMM type inspection equipment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office Products
- Proficient in CAD programs such as SolidWorks
