Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy is looking for a hardworking, dedicated individual who is willing to learn and interested in the cheesemaking process. You will work closely with Master Cheesemaker Steve Hurd in our new, state of the art creameries making a variety of premium specialty cheeses and cheese curds starting with fresh milk from the Ponderosa Farmstead.
You do not need your cheesemaking license; however, the ideal candidate would be either in the process of obtaining his/her license or at least interested in doing so in the near future. A background in cheese packaging and experience working in a cheese plant is required.
Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy is the largest single family owned dairy in Wisconsin. We recently built a creamery on the Farmstead as well as opened a restaurant/market in downtown Green Bay, The Cannery Public Market, which also features a cheesemaking room. You will assist Steve at both of these locations.
