Job Details:

Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate; maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs; retrieve, pour, count, weigh, measure, and sometimes mix medication; perform administrative functions such as answering phones and stocking shelves; prepare prescription labels, select the type of container and affixes the prescription and auxiliary labels to the container; maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; negotiate prices for prescription medications; manage prescription medication inventory. Requirements include: High School Diploma or equivalent. New York State's Registered Pharmacy Technician Certificate is required. Offered Salary: $41,000/year.
