Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
Thorough knowledge of how an ERP System operates regarding the following modules - Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Inventory Management (IM), Product Data Management (PDM) and Purchasing
APICS Certification (CPIM) preferred
Degree in Operations Management or Business preferred
In order to properly calculate assigned dependent demands the incumbent must have above average math skills; at least college level math/ statistics
A basic understanding of CGMP production guidelines is required for this position
Good written and verbal communication skills are required in order to communicate effectively with different levels of Management within the organization
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible calculating, creating, sending purchase requisitions to purchasing to support production requirements
Responsible for coordinating and communicating with the appropriate planners the timely availability of components to support production schedules
Responsible for communicating all requests to purchasing with regard to MRP exceptions to support production and inventory control (ie: expedites, de-expedites, defer, cancellations)
Responsible for ensuring that all related dependent raw material and components are available to support production requirements
Responsible for interfacing with Purchasing and QA for verification of component availability as required
Responsible for tracking and taking appropriate inventory control actions regarding short dated or expired raw materials & obsolete packaging
Responsible for the analysis, and development of appropriate safety stock levels for purchased direct materials
Responsible for the reviewing and appropriately updating item master/item balance records to ensure proper MRP functionality
Responsible for prioritizing receipts of direct materials to support production requirements
Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of direct materials to support both inventory goals and production requirements
