Duties:
Provide direct clinical services to children, adolescents, and/or adults with identified mental health or substance use needs. Conduct clinical assessments of individuals and families in order to formulate a treatment plan based on comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. Obtain all relevant medical information and collaborate with other professionals to evaluate the needs of the person requesting in-home, clinic-based, in-school or other services. Review and revise treatment plans based on clinical needs and regulatory bodies. Assess the individuals continued care needs, contact appropriate aftercare resources, and arrange for transfer or admission to appropriate rehabilitation facilities and/or liaison with self-help organizations as necessary.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one year of experience as a Counselor or related occupation providing mental health clinical services to patients. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) diagnosing and conducting therapy sessions for anxiety, depression, stress and relationship management; DE evaluating, and documenting health issues, drug and alcohol and other addictions, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression in compliance to organizational policies; DE creating treatment plans adhering to all organization, and regulatory body guidelines and/or contractual obligations; and DE developing supervision plan in alignment with clinical, organizational, and agency issues and reviewing performance.
